Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Tracy Reichman Kalik received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Emory University in 1993 with a major in History and Political Science and her Juris Doctor from George Washington University School of Law in 1996. She is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and the States of Maryland and Missouri and in the United States District Courts for Washington, D.C., Maryland and the Eastern District of Missouri. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Fourth Circuit.
Ms. Kalik is a Partner of Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, P.C. Her primary area of practice is complex civil litigation. Ms. Kalik’s ability to analyze and argue legal issues affords her clients a well-rounded and in-depth approach addressing the most complex legal questions. Her rapport with clients, both in and out of the courthouse, gives her clear edge in conflict resolution and case completion.
Ms. Kalik has more than twenty years experience and has developed a professional expertise in representing American victims (and their family members) who were injured and/or killed in terrorist attacks throughout the world in seeking justice and accountability against those who provided material support and/or aided and abetted the terrorist organizations which perpetrated the terrorist attack. In these matters, Ms. Kalik has served as counsel to bring cases against State Sponsors of Terrorism, such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Syrian Arab Republic, Libya, and North Korea pursuant to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (28 U.S.C. §1605A) and against entities and others under the Anti-Terrorism Act (18 U.S.C. §2331 et sec).
Ms. Kalik also has experience in other complex consumer litigation matters such as class action and other disputes. Ms. Kalik served as counsel in the following representative matters: Elkies, et al. v. Johnson and Johnson Services, Inc., et al.; Katz, et al vs Garmin LTD. et al and Walter E Klinger, et al. v. Motorola. She is registered to lobby at the United States Congress and has done so in conjunction with her passionate representation of her clients.
In addition to her work at HNK on behalf of her clients, Ms. Kalik has been a civic and communal organizational leader who has served on numerous national and international boards since her early teens. Most recently, Ms. Kalik served as the Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative Advisory Council for the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO). She has supported BBYO at the local level serving multiple terms on the Advisory Board for Washington, D.C. region of BBYO. She has been involved with D.C. Bar Association, and the Domestic Violence Clinic at George Washington University School of Law.
She resides in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband Greg Kalik, a Democratic political fundraiser and principal of the firm Kalik & Associates, and is the proud mother of Allie Kalik who has returned to the DMV to pursue her public policy consulting career.
