Avigdor Warsha*


Mr. Warsha*, z’l, a 1954 graduate of the Tel-Aviv School of Law and Economics, was a three-term mayor of Kiryat Ono, Israel during which time he served as a Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Union of Local Authorities. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ben Gurion Airport Authority, the Board of Teshet and as public representative of the District Town Planning Committee of the Greater Tel Aviv area.

Mr. Warsha was the first Executive Director of the B’nai B’rith World Center in Jerusalem and served as President of the Directors of North American Major Jewish Organizations in Israel. Twice elected to the Presidency of B’nai B’rith Israel, he also served as International Vice President of B’nai B’rith International. He served on the Presidium of the Zionist General Council, on the Board of Directors of the Jewish National Fund, Neot Kedumim and the Yiddish Spiel Theater. He possessed the ability to understand issues from a global perspective and his clients were the beneficiaries of his many years of involvement on the international scene.
